in almost every game mode, immmediately pop gadget, with gadget rework it doesnt matter and u wanna pop that as much as possible.edgar does crazy damage as soon as he lands, maximize this with hyper supertip that a lot of beginners dont know: you can pop the lets fly right before supering, and it acts similarly to a hypercharge. you can double jump, which with hard landing, makes you an absolute menace to deal withedgar is best in knockout or bounty, purely because hes a kill machine assassin. for ranked draft, do NOT pick edgar against shotgunners (bull, shelly, chester, etc). do NOT play edgar in bushy maps (snake prairie, dark forest, etc) you will most definitely be killed by a shotgunner or someone with bush abilities (bo, tara, buzz, etc).DO play edgar against brawlers that have low immediate dps and no knockback capability (squeak, nita, mr p, etc)

Brawl Ball

hyper, quickly gadget, then super. as long as you dont die, you can almost always get a triple super chain, which is almost always a teamwipe and free goal

Knockout

for this mode use the other gadget and star power, survival is more important then aggressiveness. bushcamp until super, then jump, shield, win

Bounty

original build, be aggressive and jump on the weak

Hot Zone

same as bounty

Buzz

if they both super on the opponents its comically free kills
